TABLE OF SHEWBREAD
The Bible text about the Table of Shewbread is Exodus 25:23-30.
The Table of Shewbread was made of acacia wood covered with gold. It would have been too heavy to transport to be made of solid gold. The table was 2 cubits long (36 inches), a cubit wide (18 inches) and a cubit and a half high (27 inches). It had a gold
molding and gold rim around it. The gold rim was a handbreadth wide (4-5 inches). It had 4 gold rings at the rim for inserting gold covered rods for carrying it. On top of the table were gold plates, dishes, pitchers and bowls. The table also had loaves of unleavened bread, probably 12.
